Minting
Rooster lets you mint two kinds of assets directly in the app without having to leave for another site: pUSD (Plume's native stablecoin) and Plume Vaults (yield-bearing tokens backed by real-world assets, such as Plume Alpha Vault and Plume Basis).
Both live on the Mint page. Once your wallet is connected, open Mint from the top navigation and pick the token you want from the dropdown.
Note that minting goes through an eligibility (compliance) check. If your wallet isn't eligible, the mint will stop at the "Checking compliance" step - reach out if you believe this is a mistake.
Minting pUSD
pUSD is minted 1:1 from USDC.e.
Once you have connected your wallet, open the Mint page and select pUSD from the token dropdown, with the Mint tab active. Enter the amount of USDC.e you want to deposit, and you'll see the estimated pUSD you'll receive (≈ 1:1) below the input.

The first time, you'll be asked to approve USDC.e for spending. After that, click Mint pUSD and confirm in your wallet. Your pUSD balance updates as soon as the transaction confirms, and you can use it right away across Rooster to swap, provide liquidity, or mint Plume Vaults.
Redeeming pUSD (pUSD → USDC.e)
To go the other way, switch to the Redeem tab on the same page. Enter the amount of pUSD you want to redeem and confirm.
Redemptions are processed through a request queue: once you submit, your request is picked up and filled automatically, and the USDC.e arrives in your wallet, so you don't need to take any further action. A pending indicator is shown while the request is open. (The Redeem tab is the same card shown above, with USDC.e as the output.)
Minting Plume Vaults
Plume Vaults (for example Plume Alpha Vault or Plume Basis) are yield-bearing tokens backed by real-world assets. You mint them with pUSD.
From the Mint page, select the vault you want from the dropdown. Enter the amount of pUSD to deposit, and you'll see the estimated amount you'll receive at the vault's current rate.

Approve pUSD the first time, then click Mint and confirm in your wallet. Your Plume Vaults balance updates once the transaction confirms.
From there you can put the vault token to work in Rooster. For example, you can provide liquidity in a Plume Vaults pool to earn trading fees and rewards. (If you don't already hold pUSD, mint some first using the steps above.)
